Generally, the first step is to establish projected costs. We review
each annual report we are to be involved with and provide an estimate.
Our work usually entails the typesetting, page assembly and proofreading
of the editorial section and the financial section. Those services can
be separated or combined as needed. It may also include scanning and digital color proofs.
In order to provide an accurate estimate, we like to review as many of
the following as possible:
For typesetting
- layouts and styles of the book
- page count for both editorial and financial sections
- preliminary manuscript
- the previous year’s annual (if applicable)
- schedule
For color work
- scan information: original format (trans or reflective), color or b/w, quantity and sizes
- retouching information
We suggest you review these materials with your Account Rep, in person,
so any questions may be addressed ahead of time. Estimates can usually be provided in 1-2
days.
